Experience includes structural design, analysis and manufacturing of metallic and composite military and commercial airframe and satellite structures, research and development and program management. Stewart was Task Leader for Structural Analysis on the USAF Composite Affordability Initiative, a Principal Investigator on an FAA program to harden the commercial aircraft fleet and was also selected by Northrop Grumman to lead a team of design and manufacturing engineers assigned to Lockheed Martin to work on the design of the F-35 aircraft.
